New NW swell providing fun surf for the north shore today. Most spots have waves in the knee to waist high range with larger chest/shoulder high sets at standout locations. Moderate trade winds will provide typical side/offshore winds for country shorelines. Long point break type lefts.

Keiki Kokua Day was held on April 22, 2010, Earth Day as a reward and recognition event celebrating students efforts to care for our islands. Over 600 students who completed Kokua Earth Action Projects this school year were invited to this year’s Keiki Kokua Day which included performances with Ziggy Marley and Jack Johnson, presentations of certificates of achievement to each student group, and hands-on learning activities with environmental non-profits and Keiki Kokua partners.

4-6 ft shoulder high to 1 ft. overheadGOOD CONDITION 5/3/2010 This Morning’s Surf Report: Moderate bump that filled in yesterday is still providing some great surf for country shorelines today. Most spots have surf in the chest to shoulder high range with some inconsistent sets in the head high to possibly overhead high range at select locations. Light winds will make for a glassy morning with onshore sea breezes by the afternoon.
WEATHER: Partly sunny with scattered showers. Haze. Highs around 80. Light winds. Chance of rain 50 percent.
